Toilet overflow resulting in Category 3 water damage that migrated into surrounding interior building materials.
Affected Areas & Materials
Kitchen and adjacent interior areas, flooring, drywall, lower wall materials, baseboards, cabinetry components, and surrounding building materials affected by contaminated water and moisture migration.
What We Found
Inspection identified Category 3 water damage caused by a toilet overflow. Moisture had migrated beyond the immediately visible area and affected surrounding building materials. Infrared screening, moisture readings, and physical inspection were used to help identify the extent of the affected areas and establish the mitigation scope.
Work Performed
911 Restoration of Riverside County documented the affected areas, established containment and site protection as necessary, and performed controlled removal of Category 3 water-damaged materials. Affected structural areas were cleaned and prepared for drying. Professional drying equipment and dehumidification were used as appropriate, with moisture conditions monitored throughout the mitigation process.

Initial condition photographs, infrared screening, moisture readings, affected-area documentation, containment and mitigation photos, controlled demolition photos, drying documentation, moisture monitoring, and post-mitigation photographs.
Outcome / Next Step
Category 3 affected materials were removed as necessary and the remaining structural areas were cleaned and dried to appropriate conditions. After mitigation was completed, the affected areas were prepared for the reconstruction phase to restore the property to a finished condition.
