Water loss originating from a washing machine located on the second floor, with water migrating into the structure and affecting areas below.

What We Found
Inspection identified water damage caused by a second-floor washing machine overflow during an active load cycle. Water migrated through the upper-level flooring and into the garage ceiling and surrounding building materials below. Infrared screening and moisture readings were used to help identify the extent of the affected areas and establish the mitigation scope.
Work Performed
911 Restoration of Riverside County protected unaffected finishes, documented moisture conditions, and performed controlled removal of affected drywall, insulation, and other water-damaged materials as necessary. Exposed structural areas were cleaned and professional drying equipment was installed. Air movement and dehumidification were used while drying conditions were monitored. After mitigation and structural drying were completed, the affected areas were reconstructed.
How the Project Was Documented
Infrared screening, moisture readings, initial condition photos, mitigation progress photos, drying equipment documentation, drying-condition monitoring, post-mitigation photos, and completed reconstruction photos.
Outcome / Next Step
The affected materials were removed as necessary and the remaining structure was dried to appropriate conditions. After mitigation was completed, 911 Restoration of Riverside County completed the reconstruction phase and restored the affected garage and surrounding areas to a finished condition.
