Toilet overflow resulting in Category 3 water damage

Stairway, hallway, walls, drywall, insulation, baseboards, flooring, wall cavities, and other affected building materials.
What We Found
Inspection and moisture detection identified Category 3 water damage affecting multiple building materials in the home. Moisture had migrated beyond the immediately visible areas and into wall cavities and surrounding materials. Infrared imaging and moisture readings were used to help identify the extent of the affected areas and determine the necessary mitigation scope.
Work Performed
Documented affected areas, established the mitigation work area, removed Category 3 water-damaged materials as necessary, cleaned affected structural areas, and installed professional drying equipment. Air movement and dehumidification were used to dry remaining structural materials, with conditions monitored throughout the mitigation process.
How the Project Was Documented
Infrared imaging, moisture readings, project photographs, mitigation progress photos, drying equipment documentation, and drying-condition monitoring.
Outcome / Next Step
Affected materials were removed as necessary and the remaining structure was dried to appropriate conditions. After mitigation was completed, the property moved into reconstruction and the affected areas were professionally rebuilt and restored.
